Alexander Pyke
Principal Physiotherapist BPhty (University of Melbourne, 2010) | MBA (University of Western Australia, 2020) AHPRA Registered
Alex is the founding director and principal physiotherapist of Bowen Physiotherapy — and the driving force behind everything we do.
With over 15 years of clinical experience and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality physiotherapy to the Bowen community, Alex has built a practice that punches well above its weight for a regional service. He trained at the University of Melbourne, qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2010, before completing his Master of Business Administration at the University of Western Australia in 2020.
Alex quickly distinguished himself as a consultant physiotherapist — working across private practice, community health, and public hospitals throughout regional and remote Australia before making Bowen home. As a rural generalist physiotherapist, he works across the full spectrum of physiotherapy — musculoskeletal injury, post-operative rehabilitation, neurological conditions, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, occupational health, and healthy lifestyle support.
He is known for his ability to guide clients through even the most complex presentations, drawing on a broad and well-rounded clinical foundation. He works closely with local providers and specialists to ensure patients receive coordinated, connected care — and is committed to using the best available evidence and technology to get real outcomes for every person who walks through the door.
Alex’s MBA isn’t just a business qualification — it reflects his passion for building a quality-focused culture at Bowen Physiotherapy, fostering clinical excellence, and mentoring new graduates to develop their skills and confidence in their careers.
Beyond the clinic, Alex is deeply invested in the Bowen community. He has been an active member of the Bowen Chamber of Commerce since 2021, serving on the management committee and contributing to the growth and vitality of local business in the region.

A Doctor of Physiotherapy graduate from Bond University — where he received the Dean’s Award, the Vice-Chancellor’s Award, and First in Class recognition twice over — Mike also holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. He is co-author of a published scoping review on Achilles tendinopathy and was competitively selected for an international clinical placement in Canada based on academic performance.
Originally from Canada, Mike has made the move to beautiful Bowen to begin his physiotherapy career — and he’s hit the ground running. He has worked alongside multidisciplinary teams at Buderim Private Hospital and Pindara Private Hospital, and completed extensive private practice placements across the Gold Coast.

Chun-Feng (Eva) Wang
Physiotherapist BPhty (Chung-Shan Medical University, Taiwan, 2010) | MPT (Flinders University, 2023) AHPRA Registered | CVTP (Barral Institute Certified Visceral Technique Practitioner) Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese
Eva is one of Australia’s most uniquely skilled physiotherapists — and Bowen is fortunate to have her.
With over 15 years of clinical experience across hospitals, private clinics, home care, and specialist studios in Taiwan and Australia, Eva brings a depth of expertise and warmth of approach that makes every patient feel genuinely seen and cared for. She holds a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Chung-Shan Medical University in Taiwan (graduating 5th in her class of 37) and a Master of Physiotherapy from Flinders University, Adelaide.
Eva is one of only a small number of Barral Institute Certified Visceral Technique Practitioners (CVTP) in Australia — a highly specialised, evidence-informed approach to manual therapy that addresses the body’s internal organs and connective tissue as part of the broader musculoskeletal system. She has completed advanced training through both the Barral Institute (Visceral Manipulation Levels 1–5 and Advanced) and the Upledger Institute (CranioSacral Therapy Levels 1–3 and SomatoEmotional Release), and has served as a Teaching Assistant for international courses across Taiwan and China.
Eva is also a published author — having translated a book on CranioSacral Therapy into Mandarin — and has presented at international conferences and community health workshops on topics including sports injury management, craniosacral therapy, and visceral manipulation.
Her clinical philosophy is simple: find and address the root cause, not just the symptoms. Her treatments are gentle, hands-on, and deeply personalised — drawing on whole-body assessments, soft tissue and joint release, posture correction, dry needling, cupping, WATSU hydrotherapy, Pilates rehabilitation, and lymphatic drainage. She is also a qualified Stott Pilates Reformer trainer.
